I like browsing the charity shops in Ipswich and yesterday I got my best bargin buy ever a lovely deep red Harrods bag for £3 ! Couldn't believe the price, the bag is in A1 condition too, here's a photo of it.
I've also got some layouts that I have done recently, the first is the one I started at Papermaze crop and finished it off today.
This one is the one I did designed by Lou at Lou's workshop at Papermaze. The photo is of my DD Emily a couple of years ago at her school leavers prom..........goodness doesn't seem two years ago she left school.
Finally a couple of pics of Aaron taken by the offical photographer at his recent 'Wings Presentation Day'.
He's enjoying his new job as cabin crew for Thomsons, been to several places so far in Greece and Spain, shame it's only an hours stop-over at each destination!
And finally a photo of my new gadget, I've now gone high tech phone! I might regret this move if I can't work out how to use the flaming thing. LOL I'm useless with anything technical so it's going to be quite challenging. Glad I'm at work over the weekend as you know what I'll be doing during the night...apart from making sure our 13 residents are looked after.
It's the Nokia Lumia 520.......................oh the joys.
Changing the subject, hasn't it turned cold again. Just hope it brightens up for this coming bank holiday weekend, not that I'm doing anything as I said earlier it's my weekend in at work.
Last night I spent a lovely evening at Papermaze and Lou's first card class, it was very good and we made 3 lovely and very different cards. This afternoon I spent making more of the step design we did and am very pleased with the results.
Next Saturday 1st June it's the Bramford monthly crop 9am - 5pm. The May crop NSD was a big success.
Well I'm debating whether to get that new phone out of it's packaging........................................or maybe not. I've to ring O2 and transfer my number over, ah pants it can wait 'til tomorrow morning.
Anyway, have a great weekend hope to see some of you at the crop next weekend.

Teneriff......
Aaron's first 'proper' flight as cabin crew was on Friday to Teneriff, he got the pilot to take this picture of him in front of the planes engine.....one foe me to scrap!
Life of a jet setter hey!
Yesterday I spent a lovely day at the monthly Papermaze crop and nearly managed to complete a layout.....I'll finish it this week and post it sometime.
It's my weekend in at work, so will be in tonight hope it's as good as Friday night which went nice and smoothly....just hope I'm not tempting fate here.

I should have bought a lottery ticket!
I'm beginning to think I should have a bought a lottery ticket this weekend. I love blog hopping and have several blogs that I visit every day. Saturday morning I looked in on the Lili of The Valley blog to find my name had been drawn out to win a set of 8 of their new Vintage Boy stamps (that are out today) they are gorgeous images, so I was well chuffed. This morning I visited Kath's blog(see my side bar) a very funny but talented lady to find my name had been drawn out to win her blog prize.....whoop, whoop, can't wait for Mr Postie. So now you can see why I said maybe a should of bought a lottery ticket...LOL
Saturday it was the Bramford monthly crop and we celebrated NSD with an extended crop of 3 extra hours and free prize draws. It was heaving, full to the rafters with over 30 ladies coming along to scrap and cardmaking, a very enjoyable day had by all....lots of chat, laughter, craftering and cake eating......the lemon drizzle cakes made by Karen and Sandra flew out of the kitchen and so did the blueberry muffins made by Jo......so thank you ladies. I actually managed to make some 6x6 boxes for cards and I started a layout. I took my camera along but sadly forgot to take any photos.
I was going to go look round a local car boot this morning, but I noticed yesterday the back half of my car exhaust was hanging off, so I'll be crafting instead. The sun is out so coffee time will be sitting in the garden today, it was lovely out there yesterday.
Well lots to do......enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday.

Wings Day
Today my son Aaron gained his 'Wings' as Cabin Crew for Thompsons., a very proud moment I must say. He has spent the last five weeks under going very intensive training and passed with flying colours. The amazing thing is that over 12,000 people applied throughout the UK and only 400 we're lucky enough to be offered a job, Aaron being one of them. Here's some photos I took.
First flight early Sunday morning off to Greece. They all looked so smart, these are the nine new recruits to be based at Stansted. I feel a few scrapbook pages coming on!
This Saturday is the Bramford monthly crop, we will be celebrating National Scrapbooking Day and will run from 9am-8pm, it looks to be a very good day.
Well it's nearly 10pm, it's been a long day as the Wings day was in Derby, so I'm now going to chill before going to bed.

Up Up and Away.....
My oldest son Aaron has been doing training the past 5 weeks to become a cabin crew member for one of the big holiday companies. He was so chuffed to get the job as he'd tried a year ago with no luck. He's had a intense five weeks of training and exams and has passed with flying colours....pardon the pun! Here he is in his uniform......scrubs up quite well don't you think.
His first shift is at the beginning of May. So proud of him.
Hasn't the weather brightened up, though still abit chilly. I've been in my craft room most days card making. I've a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout to do for one of the care homes in Ipswich, which is for one of their residents who is 107yrs! I've done several shadow box layouts for this home, these boxes are displayed outside each resident's room so people can see abit about the individual and gives them something to talk about......most of the residents have dementia so it's a memory trigger for them.
I've sorted out my new stash I bought from Ally P last week and have also started to use some of it! I love the new Art Pads by Lili of The Valley they are gorgeous, check them out on their web site;
www.liliofthevalley.co.uk.
Well, crafting calls......blow the house work there's always tomorrow.

Ally Pally fall out!
Well I set off at 6.30am yesterday to pick up Liz, Karen and Emma for out trip to Ally Pally (the Big Stamp and Scrapbook Show) London. We had a easy drive down no hold ups so arrived just before 9am.
We all spent and bought lots of goodies....we did have one heart stopping moment when Karen mislaid her brand new I_Pad.............thankfully it was being guarded by the stall holder that Karen last visited. By the time the show closed for the day at 5pm we were all shattered but thoroughly happy. We had a shock as it was tipping it down outside which made driving on the M25 a pain as you could hardly see 10 yards in front of you, never mind Chelmsford McDonalds beckoned.................we duly stopped there and filled our faces!
Yummy. We got back into Ipswich at 8pm, I dropped off Emma, then Karen and then Liz. I was shattered, crawled into my dressing gown, made a cup of tea and made the settee my home for the next 3 hours....pleased to say I slept well last night! I've taken photos of what I bought and I still managed to come home with nearly £60 in my pusre, so will save that for The Suffolk Papercraft Show on the 28th April at Bury St Edmunds leisure centre (10am-4pm). It'll now be Wednesday before I get to play with my new goodies as I'm at work tonight and Tuesday night.
Well lots to do dinner to cook.

Busy in my craft room.
I've been busy card making this week, which has been nice. I received my order from Craftwork Cards at the end of last week containing the Birdcage and Birdhouse card blanks, which I've fell in love with. Both look fab decorated and both are a generous size. Photos of what I've done;
The good thing is you can use up odds n ends you might have. I'm doing my best to use up stash I've had for ages if not years!
Ally Pally is nearly here. Saturday we'll be off to London and stash buying for the day, my shopping list has grown rather..............so if I can get some of what's on there I will be one happy bunny.
On a different note here's a photo of our cat Gus, he's such a big doppy softy....we love him loads.
